what to do with this domain?

I picked up 60 domains on some dumb package deal that this guy was offering. Most of them were not worth the trouble of even looking at them but there were a few of that were decent.

One of them is belowthebarrel(.)com.

to me that sounds good enough to do a go for a website. I was hoping to make it a blog because I'm a fairly good writer and I'm looking to use 2 hours of free time everyday on something. I also can pretty much rank and PR5 it up within a short 6 months because this is what I do.

What I cannot do is think of what the niche should be.

Anyone have any ideas for this domain? What do you think a site would be about when you see this domain?

Below the barrel is the trigger.
Trigger: Cause (an event or situation) to happen or exist.

That's a good fit for any blog about life and stuff like that
For instance you could do a blog talking about what was the trigger for various famous people and events. Weither it's what trigger Mark to create facebook, or what triggered jack the ripper to become a murderer.. What triggered the second world war or what triggered Obama to become president, what triggered steve jobs to come back to Apple, ect... It will give an original and interesting angle to any post you write. After it's up to your talent.
Plus you can put adsense on

I was thinking about fire arms as well. Shooting guides or tips?

What about paint balling? Air soft shooting?

The blog: Shooting tips, and guides at the fire range?
Your target: Can be any armed service member,gun enthusiasts? law enforcement?

These guys love going into customizing handguns, even air soft, paint ball.

People love to spend on a $800 paint ball gun to show off like how we do with cars, and other materialistic possessions.

My first thought was firearms as well, but jhardy2008's idea about petroleum/oil is spot on -- especially in this economic climate. With that said, I'd much rather read about how to increase a blog to PR5! Whatever you decide, I'm certain your blog will be a success. Good luck

Happens often, let's face it maybe I'm simply wrong, I don't know

 

The only issue I'd see going with a firearms site is perhaps restricting yourself in options for outside advertisers. Some may frown upon sites promoting guns and weapons. But, ads aside, if you think it would interest you and you create your own products (or outsource the creation) then it is certainly a popular topic.
