Is it so easy to get #1 for weak keywords? My website is plain dead, and it's main keywords are on the top of the 2 biggest search engines of the planet.
You can keep working on the weak keywords too (try to get as many backlinks possible with anchor texts/keywords that you're targeting).
Congrats! I wonder what the search volume is for those keywords as they have weak competition. If you have a decent search volume, then its time for expanding your keyword list and scaling before your competition chimes in.
once i had a website which drives more than 1000 unique visitors through weak keywords. now the site is closed and i implemented a 301 redirect the number of visits are getting low day by day, right now i am getting 100 visitors through that site
This is the basic idea of micro niche sites where you target low competition keywords to get specific targeted traffic.
The one ranked on number 1 are not the keywords alone but the phrase made by the 2 (the title of my website). Getting ranked #1 for isolated keywords is much harder i guess, weak or not The traffic that keyphrase generates is very low, some 1200 visits per month. I have other 7000 visits for the remaining keyphrases, still that's the keyphrase with more traffic by far, pretty obvious lol.

Congrats, nekoway. Each ranking is hard, maybe your search term is "easy" to be reached. Keep your website up and increase the number of visitors by trying to get a better SERP for higher competition keywords
lower the competition is, easier it is to rank a site. another thing to consider is that how profitable the keyword is. even with 1200 monthly searches, if the keyword is highly profitable, you would have lot more competition and it would be lot harder to rank. low volume terms that are not much profitable are not targeted by many therefore easier to rank.
