Hi I am experiencing comments on my blog that have wrong spellings and their URL is google, yahoo, or bing.
Do you experience the same on your website?

I haven't noticed anything like that. If it looks like spam, it probably is. Just remove it. I have added a captcha to my comment form and it has eliminated almost all spam. I'd highly recommend it if you are having problems with spam regularly.

That sounds like spam... I get tons of that on my blog. You can usually spot spam easily because it is always very general; meaning it could fit every single one of your blog post.

My most popular one is something like "I can't see the images on your blog. I like it though. Glad I found it in Google."

Make sure you have Akismet installed. It will filter out all most spam comments. Just don't unspam them or else they'll be whitelisted which means the comments will always be let through the filters.

Sucks but it's a part of the game..

Misspelled are pretty common in comments what's funny is the url they have. Maybe a glitch in the software these spammers use? If you're going to use akismet just make sure to go through those in the filter. I got a response from a blogger once stating she didn't know why I was caught in her anti-spam software and so she "un-spammed" me.

Misspelled words, out-of-whack grammar, incomprehensible language that is supposed to be English - these happen quite a lot and can be very annoying. But... if they're spamming shouldn't they leave the URL of the site they are spamming for? Why the yahoo et al URLs? Just wondering. Does anyone have a logical explanation to this?

Anyway, it is most probably spam. Since all your readers would of heard of those website(s), if the comments contain information I recommend keeping them if they don't send them bye bye. Many times in the online world, people will type something, and then be too lazy to go back and check it for spelling so it may just be a typo. Since they aren't promoting their own website(s), they are most probably not spam and just someone trying to reply but messing up, and mis-hitting a key or something like that. Best of luck;)! You should also realize that for a chunk of your viewers (especially if you have a lot of international traffic), english may be a second language to them, and with all of english's messed up grammar:), it would be hard to get everything correct.

you would be surprised but only 40% of all internet users use google.com:).

IF it's the comments themselves, then it's probably simply a byproduct of spun text. If it's machine spun text, it'll sound even worse when read aloud.

If it's the website urls, you probably have someone who is trying to see if your site is spammable or not.

Yea definitely it can be spam..If no filter is working then you should approve comments manually. Don't tick the option auto approve comments.

Adding a captcha to my sites always eliminates the majority of spam also. Of course there are always plenty of spammers sitting there doing it manually also. I think it's a waste of their time, but they keep on truckin'! lol
