which one is more effective or helps in ranking???

Hello everyone, currently my site comes on 170 page on Google. My daily work are 50 directory, 25 social bookmarking, a bit SMO and 10 forum posting. But there is no improvement in my site. Suggest me in which part i should increase work weather in forum posting, bookmarking or something else to get on the first page???????

Also I would like to know how many keywords you're targeting for a single page?

Get back to the basics:
1. Setup your on-page seo (Proper h1, h2, title tags, etc). Also include relevant pictures and videos within your text. Don't forget alt tags for your images.
2. Post on forums and blogs related to your site's niche (Google loves relevancy)
3. Inquire about guest posting on blogs related to your niche. Nothing beats writing some good content on another blog and linking back to your site. Often times you can establish a good relationship with other webmasters, and gain traffic from good content.

That should get you on the right track.
