the ROI is always different depending on the leads, if you even have leads. dang I can talk forever about this... but I wont.. If you decide to do offline.. MAKE SURE you have a target market... and a market of BUYERS. because you will invest more money trying to convert those non buyers. But depending on how amazing your product is (and profit margins), you can profit lovely
I'm starting to do a bit of offline marketing now. So far, the I've been a bit slow but hopefully soon I'll make bigger progress
i doing online marketing most of the time until i release that i can't totally ignore offline marketing. We know that it is costly and it hard to measure the result , but offline sometime can work even well if you come in the right time and reach the right customers. For example : participate in event , attend seminar and so on allow you to reach the niche directly.
I never tried offline marketing, I think its just not for me. I got in the internet marketing world for a reason, I am shy to deal with people. Cold calling is well, bearable but it takes too much effort on my part so no, though there might be an untapped market offline I still prefer to market online. Rain
When people talk about offline marketing they usually mean using offline methods to send traffic to a web page that markets something or is a squeeze page collecting email addresses for a mailing list. This can be done in many ways, for example, giving out flyers at a shopping mall to get people to click onto a web page for a CPA offer paying you $2 or $3 for each email capture or putting up posters in shops or clubs or railway stations with the url to your offer. There are hundreds of ways to do this and some people do have success. However, I prefer total online marketing activity as thats jsut the way I like it - sitting in a nice warm room at my computer, using online traffic methods. Offline marketing does work though, so give it a try if you have a good offer - preferably something you can gice for free or a simple CPA offer that does not involve upfront payment as these types of offers work best.
postcards can be very effective but it will take alot of testing and tweaking. so if you are on a budget then that something you don't want to start with.
Since this is an online marketing forum, i believe the answer will be bias... Perhaps you can try to ask the same question in offline marketing forum
Until 5 years ago, I did only offline marketing. Once my website was well established, I dropped all regular offline marketing. And I do not and never have done any online marketing. Google does it for me for free.
I've been doing offline marketing for over 10 years. Now I am breaking through the online market. Selling offline services is what I find to be the easiest and fast way to make success.
I totally agree with HonestJ. Its probably easier than the affiliate game, however, it does take quite a bit more guts. Even you can't handle rejection then its probably not for you. I've been able to develop a thicker skin so I am not so vulnerable to the rejections, however, that doesn't mean I like it any more than the next guy. The key is to play it smart. If you can get the customers intersted in calling you...you've got yourself some compelling message.
Haven't touched upon offline marketing YET.. But I will very soon as I believe that's one of the best ways to keep up in this game
It's funny how the question is presented as if offline marketing is a new trend and only a few people have tried it when in fact, fewer people are going with offline marketing because of the rise of online marketing. Inevitably, this trade has lost momentum and value in the face of growing competition, but as of now it can still be considered as notable competition.
I have 0 experience with offline marketing. Actually i tried many times but unfortunately my budget got fail due to no perfect planning before the campaign. However, offline marketing will be effective if we have a budget and perfect ideology towards market/location that where we're targeting.
Offline marketing is usually targeting businesses that are not a savy in the online world. I think some of you are calling offline marketing sending post cards, etc. I have a number of clients that I target in the offline world and provide SEO, social media, SMS marketing programs, google places optimization (super important for local busiensses) and the list goes on. Hot right now is SMS marketing, since everyone opens text messages (97% vs email of 2%) and they do it right away! I've been offering free google places optimization and using the leads into SMS marketing. Once an owner understands it, they really see the power and results.
