    So this should be in the main Google forum - not AdSense.
    They readjust PageRank to reflect the importance of each site. As sites grow in popularity, backlinks and traffic they have increasing contribution to the success of other sites they link to.

    They'll also reduce PR for lack of content, lack of new content, excessive outbound links etc.
