    To maintain your position you still have to keep working hard and optimizing your website so that you don't go back down.

    Short answer would be just a few more than your closet competitor. If no one else is fighting for the keywords your now ranking for you don't have to do anything except pay your hosting bill.

    Just keep updating content and strong backlinks. I don't think you will ever know for sure your competitor's strategy but you can continue working on yours.

    monetize like crazy. think about amazon, clickbank, CPA, sell ads space or anything. if ur keywords have high CPC, you can have adsense too as alternatives. anyway, congratulations!

    You should not increase backlinks for your site and try to getting more backlinks from high quality websites and do updations in your site from time and time and post fresh material in your site.

    All you have to do is keep an eye at your website status on the search engine and do continue your off-page seo work as you do it before. And the main thing is you have to work on your website's content (always create quality, relevant and original content).

    just maintain your rank. keep up with backlinks, but only concentrate on quality backlinks. keep up with keeping the site of good quality. so on and so forth.

    Get in 1st page (or at 1st place is EASY!!!) The hard thing is to maintain this position (and stay in the tiop results for a very long period).. It could be hard, but it is achiavable if you continue following your SEO strategy (it gives results according to your post!) :)
