    Fernando Torres is one of the best Spanish players, but unfortunately at Chelsea he has not been able to prove his best. The climax is when he is not included in Spain squad for friendly games.

    I saw this thread and thought this surely isn't recent ;) Although Torres has been known to be a great player he is just lacking that final touch. He still has a great delivery on him though and has set up some amazing goals this year. It will be interesting to see what stance their new manager will take.

    I think Torres is (was?) a great striker but has lost his confidence and his form has been bad for a long time. Can he recover? I hope so, but I agree with a comment by Alan Shearer - Torres is afraid to miss chances.
