Does anyone have a good recommendation for a host that can run Java and supports PHP and MySQL?

    Hello there,

I would say that vast majority of hosts are able to support these needs. What are you looking for as far as space and bandwidth requirements?

Well the standard hosts like hostmonster, bluehost, hostgator don't support Java (JSP). I know most support PHP, MySQL though. I'll have low traffic since this site will be new and space isn't really an issue.

    Hi there,

Did not realize you meant JSP, as java itself is mostly browser based.

You should look into a VPS or Dedicated server.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. After doing some research I ended up going with Arvixe. They're live chat support has been amazing the first couple of days and their prices were the most competitive.

Well I don't have too much experience with them so far I just finished transferring my files and databases over. I've live chatted with them like 6 times and they answered all of my questions pretty quickly and seemed knowledgeable.

The one thing I was really impressed with is I had to have my subversion rebuilt with a special configuration because my SVN host (assembla) uses SSL or something and they did that for me. My last host made me do that myself and it took me hours of research to figure it out since I don't usually do bash scripting and I'm used to using SVN with a GUI. So that saved me hours.
