I never used win 7 on my computer; still using XP. I don't know whats the matter with all this windows 7 mania. Windows Xp is the best operating system made at its time, it satisfies all the needs of mine. And it doesn't take much system resources for display and for colourful animations like win 7 does. Many are still using windows xp and maybe even older versions like ME.

Maybe Windows operating system but it it a baby's toy compared to Unix/Linux/BSD.
We still use XP on one old box for testing in IE browsers and for running QuickBooks. Unfortunately we had to put Vista on one of our newer boxes that some Windows user gave us for free when they "upgraded" to Win7. We had to do that so we could run IE9. That's how my company gets all our hardware now.

Yes, olddocks, I am still using Windows XP SP3. I am having my share of problems, but I am learning from my mistakes. With the corrupt DLL files that I have been trying to fix, or replace, I am trying to decide if I should just go ahead and update from XP to Windows 7. Somewhere along the line, alot of my security updates were deleted, or just disappeared, due to malicious programs running rampant on my system.

Those who tenaciously cling to Windows XP have their reasons. Windows Vista was considered a dud and made many think twice about jumping on the Windows 7 bandwagon. The lack of a direct upgrade path from Windows XP to Windows 7 doesn't help. But, many embrace the "why should I switch when what I have now seems to work just fine?" philosophy.

Yeah window xp is great os, but I think windows seven is the great replacement of xp. with enhanced features, much better security and lovely graphics. performance is really very good.

I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit now. It's fast especially if you will tweak and optimize it. It's like Windows Vista + WinXP :) And more features were added .. so migrate now :)

I know that no matter how much rhetoric used to describe the extent of LZ your wonderful articles are not enough, and are hypocritical, so I just want to say: You have read this post very good!

Yes, I am still using Windows XP. Still works fine, I've got no problems, so I am really not pressured to migrate.

I'm still using Windows XP both on my desktop and netbook because it is lightweight, fast and easy to use.
