is there a way to make phproxy work w/ squid? to cache whatever users are browsing so that it can be shared between all users?

I found [http://trash.pl/otrs/public.pl?Action=PublicFAQZoom;ItemID=32] and did what it said, but it won't work, every time I try to hit any URL I'm getting

This is really a very nice thread,, I just want to know is , Proxy is harm for our data or not?

 

it depends on the proxy owner. He is the middleman of the data flow so if he decide to take the advantage of his possition it is possible.
But I believe no one is doing it. I see no point to do that.

how many domains you set in your network guys?

 

Lots. Over 60 at the moment, but it varies as old ones expire and new ones get made. I had over a hundred last year. You can never have too many.

 

How many of you are still profitable?
I've done nothing but lost money the last 3 years I've attempted this

(vetro hosting, adsense on hompage, sold ads on poxified, advertised with proxy.org)

 

It took me a while to make a profit, nearly a year, but I have been for the last couple of years now, a few hundred dollars a month. Adsense on the home page and Adversal on the proxy pages. The Adversal income more than pays for the hosting. I use xproxyhost, freeproxyhosting and vps's (eggs in baskets 'n all). The one thing that made the difference profit wise was to block non paying traffic i.e. non western visitors. It saves on resources and doesn't get you 'smart priced' for Adsense. It's easy to do, just mod the index.php file, and well worth it too. It might not be fair to some countries but I'm not a charity, they can make their own if they want it's not hard. It's all a numbers game, just make lots of them.

 

How do you block the countries and what countrys to block?

There's a thread on NB with the code but if you're struggling drop me a PM with the glype version (I don't do phproxy) and I can send you some files. It basically involves adding some script code to index.php and using two files from maxmind.com, geoip.inc (the interface) and GeoIP.dat (the IP list, updatable every month). It's easier to say what I allow than what I don't, I allow North America, Western Europe & Australia + New Zealand, I block all others.
