    yes forum posting is really gud option to get ranking. u can also do blog posting, comment posting and SMO to get quality backlinks. because backlinks too important to improve ranking in search engine.

    If you have done all on page or on page activates but still your website have good Google ranking or high Page Rank then do natural link building. Defiantly you will get high Google ranking with high Page Rank.

    There are plenty of off-page optimizing techniques that does work but the thing that you should be concentrating on is the theme that your website is about as different techniques work differently for different themes. Article submission, directory submission, forum posting, blog commenting, social bookmarking, press release, and classifieds submission could be spoken off as the major players and the best practice is to implement all of these in an appropriate ratio which will indeed pay better results.

    For me, as per my experience, blog commeting, article submission, forum posting and social bookmarking are the best way of offpage optimization nowadays. Although, you need aso to work with both Automated tools and Manula Link building in order to get the best results.
