Is PayPal accepting Debit Card Now in India??

    Today we tried to verify our ICICI Bank debit card in PayPal and It PayPal completed the process this time.
    Earlier PayPal was not accepting the Debit Card. Now waiting for the verification code, finger crossed.
    Is anybody else experienced the same? Please share.

    no way paypal is going to accept debit cards in india. if you used a debit card the money should have been debited from your account instantly. did something like that happen yet? NO, it wouldn't have.

    Voila, I got charged of Rs 99.81 Today itself and got the PayPal code. The Debit is appearing as verified now....:cool:

    which bank's card have you got? i checked with my icici, hdfc, axis and idbi and they didn't work for me

    edit: i see you say icici debit card, but mine isnt working. you have a visa debit card?

    Yes mine was Corporate Visa debit card...Earlier mine was also not working...but this time it worked.

    Paypal already accepting debits cards from India , If your card is visa verfied thats enough .But before you go with that , just comform with your bank whether they accept paypal , some bank wont allow you to add card to paypal and the paypal will show the error as card refused .I already tried my federal bank visa card and its not working , I contacted bank they said they wont support paypal , but I added canera bank debit card to my paypal account very easily :)

    It works...Just tried paying for a script of $15 using my ICICI Debit Card (Verified by Visa) and it worked. I got charged rs. 767.35 for it and got the download link. I hope this is a permanent move.

    Hi, Guys, Today I tried to Add my IDBI Debit Card, It is successfully Added, But When I try to Confirm it, The following Message appears says that the information I have submitted is incorrect, But I had checked the card details & its 100% Correct. When I checked My Bank account A Sum of Rs 48.23 has been charged twicely. I do not understand what is happening, Now PayPal Has limited my account. Any Suggestion will be appreciable.

    Playing with paypal is too tricky it may lock the account and then the whole process will become tedious.. better to get confirmed that this debit card works fine... Some bank cards like IOB, Canara bank works fine in many payment processor and they are accepted as credit cards...

    OKay Today I've made a Payment for our Hosting account and It has successfully debited through our debit card.

    This February PayPal is showing gratitude over India customers:cool:
