What is the difference between Do Follow & No Follow Sites.

What is the difference between Do Follow & No Follow Sites and who is the best for bookmarking?

 

Do follow sites provides a backlinks and it is helpful to improve rankings.

 

How can i know, who site is do follow and no follow.

 

Google index dofollow comments and they did not index nofollow comments

 

Do-follow links pass PR juice to your site where as No-Follow doesn't, but it is still considered as a link by Google.

 

Its all about link juice if the link is dofollow it transfer the link juice and if not then it does not transfer the juice.

 

Difference between do-follow and no-follow is the prefix attached with word 'follow'. Do-follow anchor text in a web page will allow search engine robots to pass into the page that linked with anchor text. However, the scenario is exactly opposite with no-follow. No-follow anchor text will not allow search engine robots to pass into the page that linked with anchor text.
These are manual parameter which are used to handle Search Engine robots. By putting these tags we tell SE whether we want them to crawl and index our content or not. In SEO, do-follow and no-follow tags have their own importance. Such as getting backlink from a do -follow bookmarking site would be countable while the same from a no-follow bookmarking site will no have any advantage on your site.
No-follow, in different instance, has its advantage on hiding certain unnecessary things from SE. For example we have a website and our website has many pages including 'term and condition' page, 'admin' page etc. We wouldn't want SE to crawl and index our 'term and condition' page & 'admin' page, because they have no use.

If you only link to dofollow, google will spank you. it may not get indexed, but it gets crawled, and only having dofollow links means you know how to game the system, which means your hat isn't exactly sparkling white

thank you for very detailed and clear explanation, I was interested how I can rise the PR of the website by getting as many dofollow links as possible, but some of the backlinks to my site are with nofollow attribute, so basically there is no value for Google crawl, those links are invisible, but still users can click on them and go to visit the website.

 

“Do follow” web site links are the commands to search engine robots to follow that link for spiders crawling process. “No follow” website links are also the command for search engine crawlers, it can say “Do not follow this specific link” from linking page. Most SEO experts saying both dofollow and nofollow Backlinks can help your ranking on search engines because spiders know there were some links referring.

 

Nofollow Links are not crawling a link by search engine.
Dofollow Links allow search engine to crawl links.
Nofollow tag we can use if we are using a link for reference not for crawl. Both are good Source for Good traffic.

 

There is a difference between do follow and no follow link, do follow link will link direct to your site, so that will be more chances to increase the page rank of that web page, no follow link will increase the traffic of the website,this link do not link to your site, so there is no chance of crawling of search engine.

 

Thanks for your sweet appreciation. As you told some of your backlinks are with No-follow attribute, they can still hold some value if they are from trusted and relevant websites. By no-follow attribute it is clear that Major SE's such as Google will not count it or follow it, but you know Google is smart enough to keep it secret that it stills follow these no-follow attributed sites for checking the quality of content. If no-follow pointing website has contained good quality content and that is highly related with your website (regardless to no-follow attribute), than chances are there to have Google count it and give your website advantage of it. Hence, do not disappoint with certain number of no-follow attributed backlinks pointing to your site. Check how relevant these no-follow attributed backlinks mean to you and also during link building try to get backlink from highly relevant website regardless to their PR.

 

Dofollow sites mean google follow those site,no follow mean search didn't follow that sites

 

I am not sure on this, according to me dofollow sites will create backlinks for our website and will increase the pagerank.... nofllow will create traffic for our website...

 

DoFollow sites provides link juice and NoFollow sites do not provide Link Juice. And link juice helps getting PR.

 

When you paste a link to a site by any means that supposed to direct the respective webpage by default; but some website restrict that function and the page never follow your desired page. The first link is DO-follow and the other one is no-follow in that sense.

 

About no-follow, there are 3 cases:

1. the meta tag
<meta name="robots" content="nofollow">

Then all the links of the page are no-followed (no PR juice, no SEO, only traffic)

2. the link attribute
<a href="http://www.example.com/" rel="nofollow">Link text</a>

Then, only this link is no-followed (no PR juice, no SEO, only traffic)

3. a page or a subdirectory may be also no followed with the robots.txt
Then both the content and the links are not indexed >> no followed



In fact, in order to provide PR juice ans SE0 ranking, the backlink must meet two conditions
-- it must be put in a page that has a google cache
AND
-- it may not have a no-follow attribute.

In all other cases (no matter the reason why), the backlink does not provide PRjuice and SEO ranking. It may provide traffic, if any.
