What is Google +

Google+ is a social networking platform powered by Google. It has features similar to the facebook. And the new things we can see in Google+ is:

1. Circles - Where we can add members as of our interests
2. Hangout - With this option we're able to video chat/conferencing with 1 or more than 1 person
3. Sparks - It's all about interests
4. Chat - Just like in Gmail, Orkut Etc.

At present the Google+ full API is not available, however it may available soon. And we can access the Google+ updates from the Gmail itself (a toolbar appear in the top of Gmail inbox by default).

 

can a site get better SE ranking if it has many people that clicked google + ?

 

So this is will compete with facebook and twitter? I haven't actually used it yet I'm planning to register sometime this week.

 

Basically, Google+ is an amalgamation of several services we already use. The idea, according to Google, is to do them better.

 

Imagine the ability to break down Facebook into its various constituent parts and keep them separate from each other as opposed to one giant feed. That is what Google has done with Plus.
Google plus is a social network but you can use it for your professional network.

I do not use Google plus, since I feel like is way too many of them now. But I heard that the benefit of Google plus is simplicity in use.

Google+ is actually just what the title implies. It is Google plus all of the things you don’t immediately think of when you think of Google – Gmail, YouTube, Messaging, Reader, Blogger, Picasa, Talk, Voice, Places, Android, Calendar, etc.

 

When you have invited people to join your “hang out” a post will appear in their stream. If there are less than 25 people in a hang out they will also get a notification that they are invited to a hangout. And as we discovered if I start a hangout but a hangout is already going on I get notified and can join the current one instead.
