    2. Link exchange with related sites.
    3. link bait by posting content that is link worthy

    There are many ways to get backlinks . But I thinks permanent backlinks are best as they passes link juice for long time. Forum postings, backlinks from self blogs , article submission are good examples .

    According to me there are many way to get backlinks. Forum and blog comment is best way to get backlinks. When you comment on forum or blog make sure those forum and blog are must be do follow and high PR.Do article submission, directory submission, social bookmarking, press release. Comment on .edu and .gov sites, those sites give you quality backlinks.
