IT seems that you finally put those adsense ads. How they perform ? My suggestion is to try to force them into text links, and place some ad units on the top of every sidebar. Visitors will think that it is the menu and click on the sidebar links.

However, adsense revenues are dropping constantly and the alternative is affiliate marketing. Try to singup for some affiliate networks and see how it is going.
