SEO has become a lever pulling business where the ability to spend money will result in giving you more and more power. All the various channels (Facebook, Articles, Press Releases, Youtube) gives you more options than before to help your SEO ranking. Here’s some recent statistics:-

1. Most of the people are suffering from “banner blindness” more than ever before. Only about 5% of the traffic Google gets actually through the paid Adwords traffic.
2. The first listing in Google gets approximately 42% of the clicks.
3. The second listing in Google gets approximately 26% of the clicks.
4. The thirds listing in Google gets approximately 13% of the clicks.
5. Listing fours through nine in Google get approximately 1% of the clicks
6. The tenth listing in Google gets approximately 3% of the clicks.
7. In the business to business SEO the breakdown is: SEO at 33% and PPC is almost 28% of the budget.
8. In business to consumer SEO breakdown is: SEO at 22% and PPC is 43% of the budget

Always remember that PPC equals renting the traffic to your website. SEO is a slower process BUT better long term investment compared to PPC.

· 22% related to Link Popularity
· 15% related to Anchor Text links
· 6% related to registration of domain ( register all your domains for at least 2 to 5 years to show Google that you’re serious about your websites)
· Other factors are speed of your website, time on page, bounce rate, etc.
· Remember** Google ranks pages not websites
