Both browsers allow extensions, although the firefox extension choice is generally more mature than the one for google chrome.

I personally use chrome for my day to day browsing and firefox for all SEO/development quality assurance, etc.

Search google for "seo extensions firefox" you will find a bunch of really useful articles.

    I would DEFINITELY install

    - yslow
    - pagesepeed
    - seomoz toolbar
    - a user agent switcher
    - a language switcher
    - fireproxy for testing from other countries via a GEO proxy

    Hope that helps!

Some of these answers are amazing. I would have thought that everyone would have clearly pointed out that a Browser has nothing to do with SEO. You don't do SEO on a browser, you do it on a website.

It doesn't matter what browser we use. And the web browser is no way related to the SEO and doesn't affect in the SEO.

    Hi All,

I agree to all who are saying above that Mozilla Firefox is the best choice right now for SEO purpose BUT Google is planning to come up with new version of Google Toolbar and that will not be compatible with other browsers except Google Chrome. Any ways for now Mozilla is the most proffered choice. :)

Browser makes no difference to SEO to be honest, in terms of tools that you can get that work with browsers I would say their are more SEO type plugins for Firefox.
