Recently I have demoted/undemoted sitelinks in Google webmaster tools for my sites... And few days after I found my sites search ranking got lower than before...

Will demoting sitelinks cause google demote my search ranking? Or google is dancing? How can I deal with it...

    Thank you very much

To me I would think think it's just a dance. Also you want to ask yourself if you or any one else has recently built backlinks for the site. It could be a very normal Google dance or a slight decline in your ranking for some odd reason. I remember being page 1 of Google one day, and the next day I'm page 2, I love / hate Google. lol

sitelink probably doesnt have any relation to SERP ranking.
site is based on entire site, whereas SERP rank based on keywords for different pages.

I do not think demoting your sitelinks would cause your site to drop in rankings, but it could affect your click through rate since you have less links listed on the search results page.
