Link building is continuous process. It should be done without interruption. But even one or two days gap will not make that much changes in it. But if you made a long gap means then your working does not leads to that much effective. Make your working with continuous and unique to get the best
i think link building is the most important activities in off page SEO so don't stop these activities for long time.

there is nothing problem on building links using commenting , guest posts , forum posting .. but you will penalized by Google when you are used back linking tools,bulk commenting softwares .
