    Yes you can. There are multiple techniques that you can use such as using magic wand tool, extract tool, channel mask, etc.

    You can remove the background using different methods, but the most precise one is by using the pen tool. Here are some tuts.

    Definitely possible. What version of Photoshop do you have? There's lots of videos on YouTube where you can learn how to use the magic wand tool on Photoshop

    there are lot of tools for that, you can use pen tool or quick selection tool or magic wand tool. if you using adobe Photoshop cs5, there is new tool in it. select with magic wand tool and click refine edge then adjust with edge detection. its new in cs5 and best tool to cut hair :)

    each tool is good depending on the image which you have to isolate. Hair is definitively the most tricky thing to isolate. I happened to isolate cats and dogs and they really made me go mad.....
