I sold something on ebay at £1.39 with free postage. In paypal it says the fee is 25p where the fuck do they get that from???? Ebay take %10 of final sale which is 13p and paypal say they only take around 5% making 7p their take. adding up to 20p. How do these robbing scumbags get 25p?

Ebay Fee's and PayPal Fee's are separate.

PayPal Fee's will get deducted straight away when you receive the payment.
Ebay Fee's will be taken from your registered bank/card once a month.

    PayPal Fees - Paypal Fees are 20p + 3.4%
Ebay Fees - Insertion Fee and Final Value Fee (found here http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/fees.html)

So you are basically paying 3 lots of fee's -
1 - To actually add the item for sale on Ebay (Insertion Fee)
2 - When the item is sold, Ebay take a cut of the final sale price (Final Value Fee)
3 - If the Buyer pays by PayPal then PayPal take their percent as well. (PayPal Fee)

Hi and don't forget about the postage costs as PayPal will take 3.4% commission of that as well.
So if your item sells for £1.39 Plus £1.00 postage PayPal will use £2.39 for calculating the transaction fee not just the selling price of £1.39

    Mike :)
