what is Dynamic url's and Static url's ?

which format is best for SERP.........

 

Usually dynamic urls are performed by a PHP script and the static URL are written in pure HTML. The dynamic urls can affect your seo in a bad way if you don`t use canonical URLs as the script generates more pages with same content and google will see as duplicate. Read More...
I would recommend a dynamic site as it is more easly to administrate but if you don`t want to put canonical URLs better go for static pages.

 

If you have database-driven website you are going to use dynamic URL-s. Mostly, you are dealing with one page (template page) wich is displaying content depending on URL parameters wich are used to perform query on database. (Eg. URL: example.com/news.php?id=1 is used to display news with ID value of 1 from your database).

Static URL-s are are used for webpages if there is no need to dynamically create pages, so pages stay the same unless the changes are coded into HTML.

It is easier for search engines to index static URL-s but there is no big difference.

 

Not really true, it's just as easy for a search engine to index a dynamic url as it is a static one. It's all about discoverability.

Provided you use good basic SEO design both will work equally well.

Most packages these days that have dynamic urls (this forum for example) have the ability to make seo friendly urls, so if you are using dynamic urls make sure you use that option.

Then you will have no trouble with indexing, etc.

Thank you for coming out with this, because I would have not put it so nicely. I use both structures across my network and have never ever seen difference when it came to being indexed and ranked.

Your welcome. It seems a lot of people talk about it from a theory point of view, when people like you and me know better because we have actually tested it and done it in the past! Again to confirm there is no difference between either.

Again not true, please read above. Both can give you equivalent results. A Url is just a URL nothing more, nothing less.

Doesn't really matter if the URL is dynamic or static. Just make sure you add keywords to the URL.
