What is Compete Rank?

I have just installed a compete rank viewer and I'm still puzzled what is that for?

How it works?
How its affects the ranking of the site in SERPs?

PageRank used by Google to value a Website on a scale of 0 to 10, pagerank tells how important a page is by definition, but it is not that useful, it has no affects on your site in SERPs/traffics. Only good for selling text links, and people like to have high pagerank.

 

Ok, I'm satisfied about the purpose of Compete Rank..But what is really the meaning of this Rank?..What is the number all about?

 

Firstly I was not satisfied with the Compete Rank, but now I have learn what exactly the purpose for this >

 

Different seo companies create a different seo tools for establishing their brands in the market.

 

Compete is the site which determines the stats and nothing else.. It did not effected the SERP of Your Site..

 

ranking is only used to give a value to your website,bassed on your number of backlinks, visitors,etc...

when I check a site rank on compete and alexa they show me different that why? The that im checking is that one: technologyfazer.com

 

I think dear, our site rank and Alexa rank both combined complete rank.

 

According to me its a pagerank used by google to value a website on a range from 0 to 10.It has no effect on your website in SERPs/traffic,it is only good for selling text links.

 

what you mean by the combination of site rank and alexa rank...if both are different then please tell me the difference between them and then please edit your post and correct the complete by the compete....

Quantcast started providing free website ranking statistics based on traffic to the site. Quantcast seems to be more reliable than Alexa because it does not depend on a user community using its toolbar.

 

Compete.com tells you how much traffic and what kind of traffic (certain options are available just to pro members) comes to a particular site.
Please not that this is the US traffic only.
Beside, there is Compete Rank, which shows how traffic-heavy a site is. For example, the most trafficked site would have Compete Rank 1, etc. Kind of like Alexa Rank.

 

I do not still get how this "SELLING LINKS" think works. I have a 5 good sites with a decent pagerank. One of them have a lot of traffic, and nobody wants to buy one even when the prices are quite fair.

 

I think, complete rank means page rank.
