There is no 'best-solution for newbies'. You have to learn a lot and choose what interests you to make things work. For example if you love creating blogs and websites then you can earn from affiliate marketing.

Freelancing on the other hand is also a good way to start, just provide services to the people who needs them. You can try oDesk or our own digitalpoint marketplace.

    Hi Tawana

A great way to start online is to find a subject that you're interested in or have a lot of knowledge on.

Make some sort of product out of that like an ebook and then maybe a video course and sell it online.

Or, you can find a product to sell yourself, you can go to clickbank to find out what products people are selling, you can go to amazon to see what the popular books are.

I think Kenayu's suggestion is an excellent one.

Your skill as someone that is good at making websites is something you can market as many people need websites made and do not have this skill.

    Hope that helps.

    To your success

You can get started online by selling other product or join affiliate program. If you are interesting in selling product, you have to search for marketing first. You have to find out what people like and you start promoting your product.

Its possible to make a good living online but first you need to learn about what you will be doing. The problem is that there are so many fraudulent sellers online who will try to get you into buying their course, ebook, money making system, etc with attractive "get rich quick" fantasies. However there is no such thing as "get rick quick" unless your uncle leaves you a will.

So the best way is to slowly and steadily build your online business working from home and gradually make an income which can replace your day job. And when you're comfortable with it, you can quit your day job and work online full time.

Never fall into the get rick quick trap. Some people go on buying product after product, and end up spending money online rather than earning money. So learn all you can and build a solid online business on a subject that you're passionate about.

First you should find area you like and is not problem for you to write about it. If you don't have any affiliate exp, you can try to establish and run blog about what you are passionate and put some adverts on it... Some of the affiliate tips you can find here. But I would highly recommend to start with a blog. It's easy to establish and when you will see how the things are going, you can buy your own domain...

    Hi there!

Honestly, it depends. What works for one person might not work for the other. It depends on what your branding is, who your target market is, how competitive that market is, etc. Some have great success in PPC while others enjoy affiliate marketing and SEO. Once you have figured out your niche, start building a list, and everything should fall into place.

    To your success! :D

    Hi Tawana,

There are lots of things that you can do to start working from home online. Some of them are:

Freelance journalism, virtual assistant, selling services online like web design, programming, etc, selling info-products / e-books, CPA marketing, affiliate marketing, drop shipping, e-commerce or creating online stores, blogging & selling ad space, etc

I believe the best way for a beginner to start online would be affiliate marketing since it requires the least amount of investment and effort to get your feet wet. But the problem is that you have to do the hard work of researching online and learn quickly. It wouldn't have been so difficult if it were not for the abundant scams and trash products available online that promise you the moon.

Don't fall for those scams. Once they have your money, they won't bother about your success anymore. There is a lot of free advice available online. Get to know all of that and make a start. Then things will fall in place.

Someone mentioned up here - about finding a niche that you're passionate about, keyword research, domain, hosting, creating a website, getting traffic to it, converting the traffic to sales - all are vital components of a successful online business.

    All the best.

I like Jdizzles advice, learn as much as you can everyday.

But if you want my personal advice however, and you want to start making money online. This is what i would tell you.

Come up with at least 3 different products/services that you think will do well. (even if someone is doing it already)

Dont waste your time with seo at first, you can work on that later. When you are starting, Focus strictly on social media marketing and content marketing.

You can literally drive traffic almost instantly with social media and content marketing, rather than investing your time into seo and seeing traffic 3 months from now all to find out your product was complete shit anyways.

Learn how to use social media, and start driving traffic to each of the 3 sites to test each one out. Use analytics (google analytics), find out which one gets sales, which doesnt, throw out the shitty sites that do not generate any money and focus on the good ones.

Important: Find out who your customers are, and where they will be online. Pay alot of attention to where you are marketing, do not try to find customers for a cupcake blog on a car/auto forum.

And remember, its all about quality not quantity. One great website is better than 50 shitty websites. Always improve your product.

Use a/b testing on your website with a site like optimizely (google it)

Automated seo techniques and automated social media (eg buying followers or buying thousands of links) are a ripoff and waste of time and will do nothing for you.

Use social media, my site has real social media tutorials that teach you how to get real followers and build your list organically.

If your first 3 products/services dont work, create different ideas/products, and test test test. Find what works the best.

Dont pay for retarded shit, like link wheels, or blog commenting or any automated marketing junk, its always a waste of time.

Create a daily schedule for yourself and follow it. 1 hour on facebook marketing, 1 hour on pinterest, etc.

if you want to check out my site, just click my username and click visit homepage.

hope this info helps guys.... if you have any questions or your just bored send me a message. thanks

sorry also, use wordpress, it allows you to quickly deploy a website and its good if you need to quickly get a website up and test it without spending too much time or money on it prior to testing. use themeforest (google it) for really high quality wordpress themes.

Fierce online competition has made online visibility a mere imagination for most companies. Creative, relevant Adwords, emphasizing CTR(Click Through Rate) is the best metric to bring traffic to your site. It is important to add a conversion tracking system, so that you can tweak your campaigns and allocate budgets based on the your findings. For eg : A long tail keyword like “Top content marketing company in Singapore” will be giving you more conversion than a general keyword “Digital Marketing” (If and only if their target audience is in Singapore and they are in need of a digital marketing agency). Also use a metric to find which ad is giving you better conversion and optimize landing pages accordingly. On the other hand, if your objective is branding creating display ads across relevant networks will be the right strategy. If your budget is restricted try using placement targeting.
