    hi m looking for a microsoft word kind of stuff to edit my html pages like we use in wordpress or joomla but with more option not just bold and italic i know there are for aspx pages but i dont know anything about them or how do i make them a homepage in a server when the server identifies index.html as a home page can anyone help.

    ck editor is fine to use with php

    dreamweaver is a desktop tool so after editing you still have to upload

    index.html can be deleted. So long as there is an index.php users will be served up a page.

    You probably don't want the editor on your home page - you need it locked down behind an admin password, surely?! But the saved work can be stored in your database and then show on the homepage.

    Open Dreamweaver and Choose any new file

    Here Two ways has been explained to go to design view.

    Way 1. you can go to the top menu and select view andthen Design. (View>design)

    Way 2. You can go to the top menu and select view and then Toolbars andthen chose document. (View>toolbars >document)

    A toolbar will appear on very top and just below the menu.Here you can find three viewing options

    Code, Split and Design. You can chose designview from here also.
