PayPal India - withdraw funds by check is gone!

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by nihangshah, Feb 8, 2012.

    Hi,

PayPal India has removed the ability to withdraw funds via check. The only option available is to withdraw to any bank in India.

    Go, check your accounts!

    Thanks!

I too noticed the missing check withdrawal option. I never used it before. Is there any specific advantage of using check withdrawal?

That was not a great feature for Withdrawal. Bank is best option to withdraw money via Paypal. I hope Paypal will not remove that option.

What is the use of withdraw by Check when you have facility to get money directly in your bank account?
Withdraw by Check have some risk like, lost courier, misplace, delivered at wrong address etc.

I wrote to them and they said that if you have a balance in your account, then you will see the Withdraw by Check option.
So if any of you receive some money today, pls check if you see that option by going into the Withdraw page.

For All: Pls do not consider Check Withdrawl to be a waste, becos there was a time when I was facing problems with e-withdraw and Check option was like Godsend.
I still withdraw by check sometimes, for huge transactions and they come within 10 days flat.

You never know when you will need that option. Atleast with Paypal and their wonderful policies (sarcastic)

It's always better to get payments to your bank account. However, i too found their policies weird. Sad for Indians using their service. What is the use of having a paypal account when you can't use the balance left on your account to directly buy or pay for items.

I tried to request a Check today, just to see if what the paypal cust care person was saying was true or not. As expected, even after the balance was above $150, the "Withdraw by Check" option was not available. I sent them several emails and then the screenshot. They said, they will look into it. Geez, what are their technical teams doing. Seems like they are a bunch of idiots. Don't they even test their changes and verify them. Who knows what else is missing or messed up.

Let us all know if anything else is amiss in your accounts. Take care

the cheque option was useless anyways after the bank withdrawal was introduced, cheques used to take about a month to reach and then 3 or 4 days to clear

If you have not received your check then you can cancel the withdrawl after specific period and you will get your balance back after deduction of the fees
