    no. these are ok but don't spend all your time building directory links. you need a balance of quality links from relevant sources and good sites.

    The most important is quality over quantity. You should link to .EDU or .GOV sites, to high PR authority sites, and sites related to your niche. It doesn't matter if you cannot generate 100 backlinks a day if it is not high quality. You can just do 10 quality links and it will surely help a lot for you to rank.

    Go to blogs with similar themes to your industry, and comment. Most are nofollow links, though - but they still help. Directories are also good, but already mentioned.

    To get quality links, you should write content that will capture your viewer's interest. If you are able to do this successfully, backlinks will come organically.
