Huge traffic from dolancer.com hit my website

Discussion in 'Google' started by jalex, Feb 10, 2012.

Yesterday I received around 100k visits from c.dolancer.com/ads/visitad/xxx without having any idea why this happening, who this website is and why they sent such huge traffic to my website.. I have no connection with this website. all the traffic is from Bangladesh.
I'm afraid now to not lose my adsense account because of this attack.. for the moment I disabled the access to my website.
Anyone had similar situations with this website or have any idea why this happened?

You might want to contact Google about this and block traffic from that site/region for a while...

Probably it may be a bot. If you are using Adsense then be careful. Check that there are lot of Adsense clicks. Sometimes those clicks may go invalid.

    hi,
It may be visit by robots not by human visitors . it could be harm to your site , there is one solution to stop them just go through google analytics a/c, in that you can edit that url by remove it .

    Hey Jalex

Sorry to hear that...I personally think from my experiences with the internet and online marketing having suddenly 100K visitors coming from a source / region without even having done anything there must be classed as very unusual. Think you are doing the right thing to let Google know, as some suggested here. Let us know how you get on and what is happening with your site once the site is activated again...would be a good lesson for all.

    Good luck
    Arjen

Some one may be targeting to attack your Adsense Account. Try Ip ban. Or did you hear from Google?

It is a mixture of bot and real traffic. I have faced this problem in the past.

If anyone is facing this issue, PM me. I have a solution for it (only this particular issue).
