You should put more content on you site.i noticed there lack of content.And another fact is your site contain different niches which is not good for traffic.

after taking a quick look at your website, from my visitor point of view i have to say that:
1. the gradient green-to-white doesn't really do much good to the overall aspect of the website. i think you should stick to a simple green background for the website body and keep the footer white. (the green line that parts the footer from the whole site is a really nice idea)

2. the header banner is too big compared to the logo. as soon as i got to your website my eyes were focusing on the banner and not on the logo. it kinda gives it the feeling of "hmmm that's a nice image, i wonder who this company/person is... oh, wait, there's the logo". i suggest you make the logo a little bigger (cool logo, by the way)

3. the magnifying glass next to the search bar should either be integrated in the search bar or not be there at all. trust me, the site would look good even without it.

4. the tiny little icons menu above your header, in the right, isn't very explanatory. i get the weather icon, the printer and the envelope for contact/e-mail, but for the rest i had to hover over them with the mouse, in order to find out what they're all about. for the average internet user, that could be annoying. people like to get the info as fast as possible.

5. the green band behind "Welcome to Bengal..." should go. It really doesn't help the website's overall image at all. All it does is create too much of a mixture in your website's style. i suggest you keep the text at the same size and that's all. It will look good, because it would look like a Title and the "west bengal at a glance" below will look like a first header.

6. i would put all the ads in a single column. Not only would the website win some extra space for the actual content/information you offer, it would also give it a more pleasant view. From where i'm standing, it looks like your ads are trying to take over the actual content of the website.


AAaand that would be all. I hope you will not feel anyhow offended, all i did was take a good look at your website and note down things that if i were the owner, i would do immediately, in order to improve my website's chances. If you like, i could try to make you a free mockup in Photoshop and if you like it, you can implement the HTML\CSS yourself. No charge, i just need stuff to add to my portfolio.

 

Site looks good, but the phone number part, woud be great if you had websites or something clickable.
