how to create member page?

hi,
I'm creating a website and selling ebook (with videos) on a subject. for my website I want to create member page so people can watch my videos and read my articles without downloading my product.. how can I do that? what should I know?

They would have to login or create a member page.

 

If you want to do that only for you (not for other members), it's enough just to create a blog section at your website.

I don't want my costumers to download product but I want to have a page where the videos and writings are. and I want members to log in that page with their membership name and password. how do I do that? is it complicated or expensive?

don't put the product online , and if it's not in any folders etc, they can't download it.
for low volume you can FTP it to their desired place, or email it to them, or direct them to a temporary site page. If it's high volume sales, then have it generate a code for the buyer. Give them two uses of that page that their IP appears, and then the page is auto-deleted.
log the IP , if theres two destroy it. If there's only one IP but more than 6 hours has gone by. expire the page.
They would need a random generated code at stage 1. Stage 2 uses the correct code and their IP and tells them this on that page. Warning them the page will expire and that they have one more visit in the next 2 hours to 6 hours ..whatever you choose. and then...page destruction. Warning, this page will self-destruct Bond.

Why not create a phpforum, you can set it up with public areas that all can see and place you information in subscriber areas for members only

You would receive better responces if this was posted in the programming forum - because what you are trying toachieve requires PHP and possibly a database if you want to have better security so it doesn't get hacked. Good Luck

i think its good to go with a CMS like Wordpress or Joomla

 

you will need to create a website that has a front end and backend. The visitor will first see your offers in the front end, once they pruchase they get login of and can access the backend. You can buy a script that sets a membership site up for you and you just fill in the blanks. Sorry I do not know anything off the top of my head though...
