Offpage SEO Vs Onpage SEO?

[HR][/HR] Hi
I have a question regarding offsite SEO and Onsite SEO. I am currently looking into creating my first niche site. I've read up a lot on keyword research and a lot of other general SEO stuff.

While doing my research with market samurai I found quite a few keywords where the competition has little or no onpage SEO (meaning the Title, URL, DEC, and Header tags don't mention the keyword I am targeting)
but they have a good amount of backlinks good pagerank etc

Which is more improtant? Onpage SEO or Offpage SEO?
When I check the anchor text of the backlinks they aren't targeting my keyword.

Does that mean If I create a site around that keyword, build backlinks with my keyword anchor text I should rank in the top 10 soon?

The keyword I am targeting has aprox 680 daily broad searches and 33 exact daily searches.

I am planning on starting a niche site that promotes clickbank products around this niche.

The domain name that I plan on using is keywordHQcom

Based on this info anyone with experience think I should go for it? Am I missing anything?
This would be the first step into IM and I would really appreciate your suggestions.

According to me on page and off page both are very important.On page optimization are refers to anything you can do to increase your own site such as: Meta-tags, content, navigation, internal linking, alt tags, heading tags, sitemaps.And off page optimization refers to what can be done outside of a website to maximize its performance for particular keywords by acquiring backlinks.

 

Off Page Optimisation is work that you undertake outside of your website to improve your seo rankings and visibility for your customer. Off Page Optimisation is more focused on digital marketing of your website over internet.

On-Page factors are related directly to the content and structure of the website. This normally consists of pages written in the HyperText Markup Language but also applies to other document formats that are indexed by search engines.

On- page is an Important and crucial process.. which should must be done in initial step of SEO, once all On-page process complete, we can go for Off-page process, in this way we can say both of the thing is important for SEO aspect..

Both on-page & off-page are equally important. These two together will help your site to go to the top. You need to make a good SEO strategy which will include on-page work like, meta tags, good content, easy navigation through pages, interlinking etc. & off-page work like article submission, directory submission, PR, blog posting, document posting etc.

Well it seems like you already know how important both on-site and off-site SEO are.
My only recommendation is that you should choose a keyword with more searches per month and use exact match instead of broad.
But of course, if the CPC for your keyword is above $1, then I say go for it. Trial and Error is the only way to succeed in the SEO biz.

BOTH are important. You cannot just rely on seeing other websites having no meta tags or no on-page at all. Also, it is impossible to see websites that has no on-page optimization at all.
Most websites succeed not because they have the right off-page optimization but because they had an effective on-page optimization of their websites.

as far as i am concerned, at the first instance only, you cannot say ON PAGE Vs OFF PAGE. This is because both are equally important. You rankings will surely depend on both.
Cant say which one is better...

there arn't really any "steps" for on-page SEO, on-page seo is when you have your content optimized for seo (ie have your keywords sprinkled in), you have site maps. etc. basically all the stuff you do on your webpage to get ranked, as opposed to off site, which are things like backlinks etc

 

On page and Off page SEO both are necessary as well as important for web page promotion.

 

On site SEO has become less about rank and more about making sure you won't get penalized
