probably will be the best thing, I read it when i signed up a few years ago..not to recently, thanks.
Boring as it may seem, reading things such as these often does help. I forced myself to read the tos once upon a time...
Right now my goal is to boost my adsense earnings enough to support or help support and stock a brick and mortar business. And at the same time continue running my internets on the side
I dont do it full time but adsense is the only program i use to make income threw the internet. Untill i find something better that is.
If you have the traffic to support it, CPM banners via the CPM networks like Tribal Fusion, Fastclick (now Valueclick Media) and Casale are very good options. Whenever your sites hit 1,000 uniques a day and up, it's time to expand into CPM. And don't forget affiliate links. Slap a couple on your site and you'll be surprised how much they can generate if you put the right product in front of the right people.
Adsense is my lowest earner. But slowly and steadily I am moving my financial weight onto it. So every month I don't have to run here and there and do projects for money. Don't know exactly when the day will come but approximately I think it is still 5 years from today.
Let me see, how can I put it, exactly? Say you were working at McDonald's as a full-time employee - working about 35 to 40 hours per week. How much would this be per month?
I honestly think, know and believe otherwise. Far too many just don't "do adsense right" on their sites - period.
I fail to see what diversifying your traffic to other streams of revenue besides Adsense has to do with "doing Adsense right". If you believe you are forever safe with Adsense as long as you stay within the rules, you are sadly mistaken.
Adsense says they don't allow Kontera or Vibrant Media ads on the same page as Adsense, but I have yet to see them enforce it. EVER.
I certainly didn't put all those "words in your mouth" in my post. In fact, not even close and/or resembling anything close Cheers, your next drink is on me In my reference to "doing Adsense right", I was talking about and referring to things like ad placement, site keywords and search terms, colors and layouts, etc..., ya' know --- all things that have to do with Google Adsense ads. Where you came up with all the other nonsense, ummm??? eeerrrr???? My post required people to "read between the lines" as far as adsense monthly earnings. This didn't mean "Close your eyes and try to walk the yellow line". Guess you got confused. No problem Open mouth. Insert foot
Rebex and Jack are both right. Most people don't know how to integrate AdSense properly, and are missing out on much higher CTRs. However, relying on AdSense as a main, and long-term source of income is a horrible miscalculation.
I never said that one shouldn't "diversify". In fact, I didn't say anything about it. I was simply commenting on google adsense income and how it relates to the orginal post. Can someone make a living solely from google adsense? Yes. This is not only my opinion, but is fact over and over again. Thousands of people have done it and continue to do it everyday. Is google adsense my sole source of income? No. I was making money and doing my thing way before adsense and when adsense is gone, I'll still be doing my own thing. Adense has been an added plus and a nice addition to my monthly income -- and I'm really loving it. Should anyone try and make adsense their sole source of income? Who's to say? How good at it are you? Can you earn tons of money from it? If you do, then go for it. But, if you're like most of us, earning a few to several hundred per month, then I'd say --- don't quit you're online day job. But, what I do know is that all of the things that I mentioned regarding adsense ads and not doing adsense right is true. I know, first hand. I've tried many and several different things with my adsense ads and learned that just a few changes can make a HUGE difference in earnings. WoW - folks either love or hate adsense. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers here. I was just trying to offer up my own opinions, based on my own experiences. We are all different and do things differently. Doesn't make one right or wrong.
Actually you did - you replied to a quote from Jack that suggested some good diversification for revenue by saying you believe otherwise - but now you say that's not what your saying soo... I think we're all on the same page here really - your just thinking that "ad placement" and such is a huge revelation to jack... hey jack, you know you can blend your ads now right?..
