    Hi there,

    Does submitting a sitemap to google make such difference in the search results ranking for a smallish site? Or it just an easy way to make sure new pages get crawled asap?

    Site Map only help to cache all the pages of the website by crawler of the search engine. It's not effect search engine ranking.

    Drunk here. I made a huge post about sitelinks, and was yelling at you for being a nooblet because you can't submit sitelinks, authority sites just get them

    But besides all that, you should really get a sitemap set up because it's a map for the spider that crawls your site and reports back to the engines. makes sure you update content at the frequency the crawlers are visiting, and update that sitemap automatically
