Local Business Directories

There are a lot of local business directories out there... some are free, some are paid, some are both...


Which do you use for your own business or your clients? and why?

 

I will use paid ones - just to promote my business better . Why paid - because I can get more of paid option .

 

A pretty easy method to get started are online classifieds and simply searching local on Google. This allows you to contact businesses directly, and direct communication will always get better results

what I really recommend are entries in craigslist and co.

That has been really effective for me!

 

I use a free director just because it is effective but if you want to see better results defiantly go with the payed directories!

 

The best things in the world are free. So mostly prefer free listings. No doubt paid listing in some of the top directories help in improving the SERPS.

 

i use free directory because they give me good result but little bit late...

 

Both are good to rank but person whose interested to pay bucks to get ranking then i would recommend to choose paid one.

 

Obviously, we all prefer to get listed on free local business directories, but in case that there's a really good "paid" local site that worth enough the money, then it's a good try to pay them and get listed too

 

In general, if you have a business or services related site then prefer to go for the paid inclusion. For simple blogs or informative sites prefer free submissions first.

Quality local directory is worth paying to get listed. Some are really inexpensive in comparison to benefits your business receives down the road.

 

Some paid ones are good. Good PR and good traffic they send your way.

Well,the directories which are free they ask to put reciprocal link,

 

There are many directories in each category:
-Paid
-Free
-Free but requires a link back
-Free, but takes way too much time to get accepted to (never)

Obviously you should seek out 1,2 mostly. Only list to quality directories that have good PR and decent age, though.

 

I prefer both because both are help full.

 

I prefer to use the free article directories. I do not actually like to waste my valuable money in doing so.
