What is the best SEO software for a digital agency?

    Hi,

My freelance work recently reached the threshold where I have decided to incorporate as a digital marketing agency. The problem is that while I have good experience in web design, development, social network marketing and digital pr, my experience is limited in SEO/SEM (my clients in the top 10 tend to be the regionally marketed ones).

Could anyone recommend a good and cost effective piece of software which could help me with this aspect of digital marketing? I would like to be able to easily keep track of all my clients sites, get them good rankings and easily offer seo reports to my clients with my branding.

Also does anyone have experience of ibusinesspromoter or traffictravis?

    Best Regards,

    Adam.

The new version of traffic travis is nice. They had some issues with it, but I think most of those have been fixed. I use it just to keep an eye on my clients' rankings.

Seomoz also has some nice reports.

    Hi Adam,

as far as I understand, it will be you who'll communicate with your end-users and report on their progress, not the digital marketing agency you want to hire.

Thus I believe you have two options here:

    1. Make up the reports yourself based on the progress the agency accounts for. As they'll provide you with their own reports, you might cut down on additional expenses in purchasing SEO software. This option needs more effort on your part, but it might turn out cost effective (as well as it might take too much of your time on routine stuff).

    2. Purchase SEO software to generate SEO reports. As your main purpose in getting the tools is SEO reporting, pay attention on this part exclusively. SEO powersuite has great reporting opportunities - check out what they have to offer and see if it suits your business.

Anyway, before looking for particular SEO reporting software, decide if using one is a cost-effective option in your case.

I would highly recommend that you invest in something like SEO powersuite, there are other software like it like IBP and WebCEO but in my opinion ( and what we have used for years ) SEO powersuite is by far the best, its ability to provide full PDF reports which are customisable and look amazing in your clients eyes with the wealth of information they provide.

You can try the demo which allows you to see the reports but doesnt allow you to save anything. The enterprise edition is what you will be needing if you are running an agency as it doesnt put any limitations.

One thing to remember as someone mentioned above about how cost effective it would be for you to purchase something, remember that SEO powersuite also needs a yearly renewal of live plans. Cost effectiveness is really only a concern if you have a very very small amount of clients as this software saves you huge amounts of time generating reports , keeping track of clients sites etc and by far supersedes the cost effectiveness.

If we had to do all that manually i would hate to think the amount of time we would loose that could be used doing something more constructive.

    Regards

    Adam
