    The PR of your web pages solely depends on the number of quality backlinks pointing towards it. The higher the value of backlinks, higher will be the PR.

    But, unless you are planning to sell backlinks or domain, you shouldn’t be losing sleep over it...

    I quite agree, and I can't believe people are still asking how to improve PR either!

    To the OP, just build high PR links to the site to increase PR, then in 6-12 months time when you have a high PR but still no traffic, you should start asking questions about how to optimise your website for traffic and conversions.

    PR is all about dofollow backlink, you just need to build as many dofollow backlink as you can to improve the PR
    By the way, getting good PR doesnt mean you can get high SERP
