I have a site which i have been backlinking fore several months now and when i do my backlink check none of them are listed? They are all on do follow sites, forums and blogs? Is there a reason that links posted 2 months ago (and still there, i checked) are not being picked up by google?
What tool/method are you using to check whether or not your back links have been indexed? Could possibly be that Google has not indexed that site/sites that you commented on...
How do you check the backlink? what tools you are using? and what is your URL? it is hard to tell you the reason without any information
I never worry about how my backlinking, I am just do this over and over again. did you check the quality of backlink page ? how many site are there.. hope that help. it's better also if you can provide your page..
my webpage is www.officialtattooreview.com and www.officialtattooreview.com/female_tattoo_gallery.html I comment on blogs, forums, and did social bookmarking like in digg, reddit and so on. i know most of the sites have PR and are popular. the only thing that really shows up for my backlinks are some forum i used like 3 years ago. none of my recent stuff shows up. The two tools I used were Traffic Travis and SEO Spyglass. I put my own domain in and it showed hardly no results. Some days it would show 218 backlinks and the next day 0.
In my experience the backlink analysis tools are patchy at best and never give you the whole picture. Try Pinging the sites you've commented on. This usually helps them to get indexed.
and none of my ezine article links show up. I know the links in the resource box are "do follow" and I know that site gets crawled but why are they not showing up anywhere? I have a webmaster error on Google Webmasters section that says something like "severe health issues with your site...robot.txt" but that just came up and i never had that in the previous 4 years?
hi. may be it is happening due to the bad quality backlinks so tey to check youe bacjlinks because Google crawl only good quality backlinks.
Yes, Google (and backlink tools) won't show you all the links that are out there, and some links won't get indexed if they are not deemed worthy of indexing. If you are building a bunch of blog comment links, they are nofollow. If you are building a bunch of forum spam links, they don't count for anything anymore. It just depends.
Only quality backlinks are indexed by Google. And low quality no follow links are not indexed by Google. you can check unique backlinks at alexa.com .
I guess, either those blogs or forum post are not worth enough of getting crawled by bots any more or they just exist to bots due to their relevance. try to ping those posts... best way is to build new back-links for your site because If you keep waiting for them to get crawled and in case they don't picked by bots during next PR update, then you will simple lose your PR as well as time. Try new reliable method like link-wheel, where you have full authority of what is getting in and was is getting out ....
if you read the latest Google crawl policy then you understand why Google doesn't crawling or indexing websites
I have the same problem. Alexa only show 2 backlinks. They are no different or any higher quality than my other ones. Maybe it takes a while to update/index??
the point may be they are do follow now or it may be depends on quality/relevance of the content of the sites which consists of your site's links.
