    You can add meaningful keywords to url but finally it should convey the idea about where it will lead to.

    Yes its true, optimized URL works it helps you in getting more traffic and releasing your burden on keyword dependency on same URL.
    Like now you can define categorize your keywords and define pages with for targeted keywords.

    URL optimization is nothing but the URL having the keywords/text in it. Such URL's are SEO friendly too. I'd suggest to go through with the google webmaster guidelines for more information on this query/issue.

    Url optimisation is most important part in seo because the site depends on url, here I am sharing some url optimization tips if you like then try..

    • Your URL’s MUST be relevant to the page content
    • Use the page key phrase within the URL; this might include a product name and manufacturer category for example.
    • Do not use lengthy URLs with unnecessary parameters and session IDs
    • Avoid deep nesting of subdirectories like ".../dir1/dir2/dir3/dir4/dir5/dir6/page.html
    • Try to use only lowercase words within the URL.
    • Separate different words within your URL’s with hyphens.
