I think google will send your US $1.23 to verify your bank account. When the amount deposits in your account then your account will be automatically verified. Not sure about recent process wait for others response.

I just did this a week ago. Once you add your bank information in, it will stay verify.

Check your bank statement for a deposit from google into the account you added. Enter the amount google just deposited into your bank account to verify this in your adsense account where it asked for the amount. The amount can very so check your back statment to make sure. (I had this done within 3 days)

You can still use adsense while you wait for the deposit from google to process threw your bank. Basically i waited 1 day for my bank to process the payment, then i went into adsense account and entered that amount in "verify" box. Very simple for me since google and bank didn't screw up.

They will deposit a small amount of money into your account, check your statement 10 days later.

The amount they put into your account put that number into you adsense account

no, it's called PIN, that's what you receive by mail.
For a bank account, it's different, you give the info, they send small money and you have to look in your account and say how much money that was exactly.

But you can start using adsense even before PIN and account verify. you use it, you earn money, but will be paid only after completing the PIN and bank account if you chose this way of payment.
