What to do when advertiser won't pay

    Hello,

I'm having an issue with one advertiser (video ads). Payment terms were agreed on NET 60 basis, but since February - when we started cooperation - they never payed me. I delivered tens of millions views for them, so I'm talking talking about five figure $. Except email, I don't have any contract.

What can I do in this situation? Am I screwed? They're based in the UK, I'm in Europe also, but not Europian Union.

I heard one other publisher having the same problem as I'm having, while the other one was payed but after a lot of waiting ( although that one is from UK)

    Any help would be appreciated.

So he didn't pay you and you kept giving him ad space for another 6 months all the while he blew you off and never paid you?

    He's not paying because you're a gooner.

No one bothers to pay gooners.

remember that the internet can be a great weapon. start talking to the person and say that he needs to pay up, you shouldn't have given him ads once he stopped paying for them but thats a lesson learned.

Food For thought: I once had a person start taking my clients using my contact book, they got fired and a email was sent out to every hiring department in the city and several cities around detailing the issue and along with court documents which showed that the person had violated the uniform trade secrets act.

Think about it for a while and you will know what I mean

Your first mistake was giving him credit terms.

This entire planet revolves around credit...

Its a wonder that anything gets paid back these days....

Its just to simple to cut and run, and that is what he done...

Consider this a lesson learned. Collect payment up front next time. He must not of seen any return or even an ounce of traffic if he decided not to pay you... and you must of known this if it wasn't a big deal for you to keep his ads running for a half of a year. Something tells me the amount he owes you is quite nominal if asked...

it would cost you more trying to collect then it would just letting it go. At the very least google some legal forms and threaten to sue him unless agreement is reached by deadline. Then if he does not respond you'll need to hire attorney in his country to proceed with lawsuit or call it a lesson learned.

Start by crushing his reputation here and anywhere else on the Internet. Scum must pay, this way or the other.

yes, if you could deliver tens of millions of views for them, you could easily convert it to 'push' them to pay their debt to you.

Have you called the advertisers for an explanation? Always best to try to resolve it before posting bad things about a company.
