How do you setup a Google+ "fan page"?

Google+ offers business "Pages", similar to Facebook fan pages.

When I visited this link to signup, it looks like it wants me to first create a personal account with my first and last name: http://plus.google.com/pages/create

Is there a way to create a "Page" for my website on Google+ without having to create a personal account with my first and last name?

No there is no option like you want. You must have to create an account on Google+ such a facebook.

 

g+ has just brand pages option, but you can create a simple g+ page and gain their as many fans as it's possible.

 

You need a account for that, after creating it in google +, on the right side you can find a Create page, through that you can build up the page, but now a days G+ is very strict and they had changed their policy so fake account or improper info accounts are getting banned.

 

It is the same as Facebook, you can't create fan page if you are not logged in..

Yaa, it is not possible. But probably there is a way. Do you have a Gmail profile/account? If you have one, then login with that profile. Then on another tab, open any(any companies) G+ business page, on the right hand side of the page, bellow the Circles you will find an option called ‘Create a Google+ page’, if you click it, it will take you to the business page creation options.

 

Without login you cant do anything in any social newwork

All you need that to make an account on google+ and after that you will see that there is a option to create a page. Thats All

yeah i do agree with you..They does not want fake accounts and they were so strict in making an account but it's for everybody's good.

 

That's what i want to know too. Making me create a personal account and add real people to my circles...

 

You do need a personal account to make a business page, but there is now the option to change the "Management" of that page to someone else.

This is useful if you have an outsourcer so you can also let them have access to it without accessing your google+ page.

Note also - It's important if you are using your page for ranking purposes for a product, to link TO your product page (normal website) and to link from that page to your google plus for business page using the special linking code Google give you.

Then people can +1 you on either page and both sites will show the count of +1's.

Without doing this dual linking Google say that the Business page is not eligible to appear in search engines results as a feature for Google+ people who have you in their circle.

Bottom line: If you are going to be promoting your business + pages to people using google+ make sure you do the linking as they specify.

This is mainly relevant for people with their own products.

Im sure they'll be implementing it soon where we can create Fanpages of some sort.. Are you guys finding a return on investment with Google+ yet? I check my page and all I see is internet marketers posting their links on there for better rankings. Looking like no-mans land if you ask me. I may be wrong..
