    first make good content of site,
    take a look on your meta of site
    make SEO basics like alt text to images, use exact headings in text,...
    use Google webmaster tools, use site map
    buy or exchange back links with similar sites

    - Promote your blog post on social networking websites
    - Promote your blog on niche related forums
    - Submit your blog to premium blog directories
    - Comment on niche related blogs
    - Guest post on related, trafficable blogs
    - Try to make your blog interactive (encourage people to comment on your blog and allow guest posting)
    - You can integrate videos on your blog and promote those videos on different video distribution sites

    Guest posting works best for me. I have been using Keyword Country with great success to find dofollow, authority blogs to guest post on.

    submit your blog in the google webmaster tools. Also submit the xml feed as a sitemap in the google webmaster tools (this will be helping google to find all of your posts they may be old or new). Then social media optimize your website, means doing social bookmarking, submitting to the web directories, blog commenting, article submission to the article directories, forum posting etc.
