What do you think about .eu domain names? Do you think they are worthless?

I think the extension is crap I much prefer ccTLD for relevant country. It's the same with .us and America.

I have ShareTrading and MarketTrading, both in .eu's - the very fact I still have them, shows you how good they are. (In .com they would have been gone in minutes).

I don't think I have ever seen an .eu website. The same with .asia end similar.
Extensions like that are only created to milk domainers. No one else is interested in them...

.eu domains can only be registered if you have registered address in EU countries (individuals/companies)

He is asking what you think of the extension, not who can register them.

A .EU extension is helping you reach and communicate with the audience in European Union, If you have targeted business in EU you should get it, if you'll need registrar, try Eurodns.com for this needs

I agree to TheFall, .EU helps to reach the target audience in European, of course with the help of host in Euro server. With the country level domain name, it is easier to reach the local people and the site is more trusted as only the legal Europe residents are allowed to register the domain. There are restriction and control from the country government.

Crappy useless extension. European have their own ccTLDs so don't need this, just like .asia is another unnecessary extension. But there is still money to me made in these crappy extensions.

In my opinion they are good for European websites. I own a .EU domain and am using it for my Slovak website.

Disappointed in .eu since I registered quiet few of the domains, back in 2006. Some of them are great to develop, such as Hotels.eu for travelers, but I expected more popularity.
