megaupload down, will be big impact to internet industry such - server - computer sales (for server) - provider - etc
At least, to those who distribute copyrighted material without its actual owner's consent at all, and doesn't promptly take them down upon being notified.
and it opens the real possibility for other major fileshare sites to be shut down as well.. but what MegaUpload owner did was not abide laws in pretty much any country lol..that's why he moved operations to NZ. check: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2171987
Well maybe they need to lift their game... thanks to the online world - celebrities are getting kick backs and fame... if it wasn't for us spreading rumors, gossip, linking to videos, distributing media - these celeb's wouldn't be shit... they have us to thank most of the time... and if they don't want their videos being ripped and seasons, tv shows being shared then they need to market online and provide worldwide distribution services - THEY need to provide the rest of the world with their content - a lot of us miss out on TV shows because they're not distributed in our countries... they say that MegaUpload stole 50 million+ dollars - well if the cock suckers in the industry would catch the fuck up to the online world and then they could reap the benefits them selves. But no - all they want is the old school cash for their material from TV stations from around the globe - todays youth don't watch TV - they turn to files and online videos.
the 72 minute time limit was super annoying. This sets a precedent though so we will likely see more take downs.
Some local economies will suffer from this. There are thousands of families that depended from content shared in Megaupload. Sad, but true. Dads pay school bills selling Thor and Sex and the city copies, bring food to their tables selling copies of antivirus and Windows. Maybe they won't pirate anymore, but traffic guns and be 'sicarios' will be their alternative. There's no education but we have good entertainment. Just very sad. It was more than pirated stuff.
i wonder how the clouds should perform now and then.. yes we need to suppress piracy, but what if suppress freedom, even the free beer?
