The main problem will be if your site will enter that so called black list, if this happens you will not get anymore visitors from USA....for me that is the biggest conceirn.

If the Piracy / Freedom Stripper Act passes...

Then you could be shut down for having a mere link going to another website.

Lets say you saw a hot book, and you posted a link about that book.

Your site could be shut down for placing that link, and you could be sued.

The US Govt, and Big Corporations want to control the internet.

When they say that the govt wants to police the world, they are not kidding, they want to
police not only the world, but the internet also, some call this Big Government.....

If they do not pass this bill now, then they will certainly keep it on
the back burner for a rainy day, they desperately want to control the internet....

If this act passes, then you may not need to worry about SEO, your site may
not be around long enough to enjoy any benefits in fear of being sued for something that could slip by....

Not good, but not a tragedy. Imho at worst the US-based webhosting companies will become <even more> dangerous partners for all those warez websmasters. But they are quite hardened guys :)

Not only SEO, but SOPA will affect entire web.Internet was invented to break the boundaries, but SOPA is trying to create the boundary again.

The biggest impact will occur to the sites that against SOPA. May have some kind of blacklist soon, I suppose.
