    Hi,
I need to edit my header.php in Wordpress blog so I place a logo instead of the current title in the upper black area.
please see my website to get an overall idea of what my blog is looking like:
    http://up-web-traffic.com

I have attached my header.php file so everyone can download it.
    View attachment header.php

    Any help please?

Assuming that you have already created and sized the image that you want to use, Replace this
with the image in this format
Make sure that you don't disturb anything else.

Try going to General Settings and removing the website name and description.

as you are using Wordpress template so go to your template dashboard and check for the edit logo maybe its present in main option page of template options, so from there hide text header and enable logo/image header, now paste your image url in the below given box and save it..All done..

    Happy blogging

You may also have to edit the CSS file to allow for the size of the image.
I don't think that area is 507px wide

Um, yeah. If using a custom logo is in the theme settings, that's where you should have done it. I assumed that it wasn't and you had already checked that.

    No, this does not work.
the wordpress theme has few options all about footer and About me. Should I install another more flexible theme? I really like my current one.
I do not know how to edit CSS files. Can this solve the problem?

I thought I could help based on what you posted, but apparently something else needs to be done and there is no way that I can guess what that is without being in the dashboard or seeing the theme files.

I wouldn't change themes just becuase of that, but on the other hand, it's not like that theme is really that special.

If you aren't comfortable making file edits, it would be best to use a theme that gives you the customization options that you want and can access from the dashboard.

Can you suggest me a good WP theme that is highly flexible, easy to use and in the same time has a high CTR in Adsense and other affiliate networks?
    Thanks again,

Get the source code from View Source. Copy and paste it in Dreamweaver.

Place your logo with a DIV tag. then insert the code in your header file.

I just happened to take a second look and I see your problem.

The black in the header is an image, not just a color.
    http:// up-web-traffic.com /wp-content/ themes /JohnGalt/ images /nav-background-flat.png

    It is 950x130.
You could just create an image of the same size, name it nav-background-flat.png and replace it.
