Here are a few more suggestions:

    • The National Organization of Men
    • The Congressional White Caucus
    • Fund for the Male Chauvinist Majority
    • National Association for the Advancement of White People (or Asians, or...)

P.S. Tongue firmly in cheek

I wouldn't join it, but to be fair, if they allow clubs for other races, then it should be allowed. It always struck me as strange that it's okay to have something like "Black History Month", but if someone tried to have a "Caucasian History Month" it's racist.

Personally I don't care if they do or don't have such clubs, but either way they go, they should be consistent.

I couldnt agree more even though i am not White but i have always felt that difference. You call someone white, Thats not a problem but if you call someone black. I am not racist or anything but i dont deny anything i mean you can call me Asian call me Pakistani i dont care but if you call black person black you will have some problem. Even though i dont give a shit to color unless its a chick :D

Some people might call me racist but i dont give a jack to it so.........

Another thing i dont get about US is that Afro Americans would use N word to call each other and its not just one time they use it like over and over again, Why do they get mad if someone else call them what they actually like to be called and do use that word to call each other

    No big deal.

Hell, I'm still pissed off, for the many years back where I was attempting to start a paintball group. Denied, even though gun clubs in any other area would have passed easily....even though paintball guns aren't guns. *shrug*

Studying ones culture is not a wrong thing for anyone. IMO.

i'd join. they have a black history club at my school and if i tried to join they'd probably deny me or something like that.
i've also wanted to join the all black flag team for awhile, mostly as a joke so i can stick out when they perform at pep rally's..getting off topic.
but hell why not join? a club is a group of people who have a common interst or have something in common, and hey, if white people wanna form a club for white people, i might as well go see what type of things they have to offer.

and i call black people black all the time...everyone jokes about racism where i live and no one takes it seriously, at least here in high school, so things are still changing.

My African friend once tried to join the Chinese club at her university. They turned her down for not being able to understand Chinese.

Yeah. You're missing the entire point of this thread :p It's not about whether clubs are a waste of time.

Anyway, to stay on topic -- I don't particularly care whether there's a club made for appreciation of white history, a club made for appreciation of black history -- whatever, I don't care. As long as racism doesn't factor into the equation, I don't see what the big deal is.

Or, just for consistency, how about "White History Month"--after all that is more comparable to "Black History Month"

I think that disallowing this sort of thing is one of the root causes of racism. We are endorsing inequality by allowing a "Black History Month" but not "White History Month," and it results in a lot of indignant young Caucasians.

I sort of get your drift, but as far as the youth go, schools communicate almost only white history. America's popular 'history' is virtually anglo-driven. The only divergence I see in America at the moment is, that it's popular to have 'racial pride' as long as you're not white. The fear surrounding this issue (by the people noted), is probably because we as a society have made 'white pride' a taboo.

Personally, I can get a rats ass about my skin, but on the other hand, I think the anglo-culture and the enlightenment culture of europe is so vastly important...to me. I think it gives me a great sense of how America was created, and so much more appreciation behind the geniuses of the past. I still think had it not been for some of them, we'd still mostly all be living to 30, and doing intense labor.

Although I find great appreciation for Jazz and Blues, which Black American culture almost wholly deserves credit on...then there's martial arts from China and Japan. If one really looks, they can gain a rather vast appreciation of any culture. They all have something to offer.

    Agreed.

I was thinking of setting up the MOWO's to go with the MOBO awards - always struck me as kinda odd to see seperatist setups like that springing up.

On a somewhat related note, it is stupid how Martin Luther King gets his own holiday yet Washington and Lincoln don't. George Washington & Lincoln played a more important role in the development of the United States yet they don't have entire hollidays devoted to them. Instead they have been merged to form 'presidents day', which encompasses ALL presidents.
