    Domain name is the name - the URL of your website - e.g.: www.yourdomain.com

    Hosting is the web space / server where you host your website to be available online. I don't recommend you to host your website on your own PC, as you would have to have your PC switched on 24/7 in order to have your website online non-stop.

    If you don't have money for hosting and domain, you could try a free web host for the beginning (e.g. freehostia.com or atspace.com) or you could start a free blogspot.com blog. However, when your website becomes bigger, I would then suggest you to switch to paid hosting like e.g. HostGator.

    i also wouldnt reccomend using your pc as the host as it would beat the hell out of your equipment.. try hostgator or bluehost

    A domain name is the name of the website, the part that starts with www. and ends with .com .net etc. Hosting is where your website lives. You need a hosting account to send your website out to the world. Hostgator is my hosting company of choice. I register all my domain names with Godaddy.

    Domain is a term used for the ID of web address. Every single website over the internet has domain name allocate to it on the basis of DNS (Domain Name System).
    Hosting is the physical space on which the site’s files will sit. It is a computer (server) placed in a datacenter somewhere. When purchasing, it will offer such features.

    as you said, you are a beginner. I will explain it you in very simple words.

    Your name is " Rex Red definer" and you live in "karachi"

    so here rex is the domain name and you will karachi, this is your hosting.

    so for every domain name, hosting is mandatory.
